Awards for Excellence   The home enjoys a reputation as a quality provided both nationally and regionally During 2011 the home was nationally recognised as being one of the “Top 100 Employers” in the country by the National Apprentice Service and City & Guilds of London Institute, beating over 93,000 other employers for this prestigious accolade. The home was the only company from the Social Care Sector to be included in this selective list. The home was voted Care Business of the Year at the 2011 Shropshire Care Awards, this being the second time the home has won this prestigious award having previously been winners in 2009 The home was also a Finalist in the National Apprentice Awards and was voted Best Apprentice Employer in the West Midlands and Best Apprentice Employer in Shropshire at the Shropshire Business Awards In addition to our “Excellent” CQC rating the home has won numerous external awards, which reflect the quality of service consistently delivered to its residents. The home were runners up in the 2010 National Skills Accolades held at the Dorchester Hotel London. The visiting judges who visited the home stated that: “Everyone at Team Hendra is involved in everything that is going on. The standard of care reflects the massive investment that the owner has made in recruiting the right staff and training and developing them to fulfil their potential. This positive attitude and value based approach is evident as soon as you enter the front door. Relatives feel that their loved ones receive excellent care and that all their needs are met in a very caring manner by staff who show respect, and allow individuals choice and dignity”  In September 2010 the home was voted “The best provider of Healthcare and Well Being” to its residents at the 2010 Shropshire Care Awards. In addition the home was runners up in the Healthy Eating and Team Award categories.
